A.S. in Esthetician

Students completing this degree are educated and trained in the fundamental skills needed to successfully complete and pass the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology, Esthetics Examination. The program provides a distinct education in esthetic applications, values, theoretical science and State Board preparedness, which includes, but is not limited to: makeup design, training in electrical modalities, hair removal, facials for specific skin types/conditions and proper sanitation and disinfecting procedures. The course also provides interpersonal interaction with clients and other students.

The focus is on personal satisfaction, study/learning skills, trained applications/procedures, and professionalism; skills useful to become a successful licensed technician ready for an entry-level career in the field of esthetics.

This degree requires meeting the Citrus College General Education and proficiency requirements combined with successful completion (grades of "C" and above) of the following major requirements:
